Refinished Joy is a furniture refinishing and design business based in Cleveland, Ohio. We, Ryan and Kate, specialize in creating classic, custom, and quality pieces that are functional and beautiful for your home. Furniture is something that we are passionate about and strive to provide quality craftsmanship that is designed to the specific individual. 

Refinished Joy is an upcycling furniture company that focuses on transforming vintage furniture. We are dedicated to reinventing vintage pieces to fit the need of each client. We believe that older furniture is superior to most new furniture for sale today. We can transform each piece, between colors, stains, and hardware. Each piece is unique and the creativity is endless. 

Refinished Joy was started two years ago but the love of creating new pieces of furniture by refinishing began over ten years ago. Through the years we have moved three times and every move meant more furniture needed to fill the spaces. We had many pieces of furniture handed down to fill our first home. The functionality of pieces could be there, but the color or finish didn’t always work, which began the creative journey of reinventing. 

Kate would always joke that Ryan never bought her flowers, instead he brought home furniture for her to refinish. 

When we aren’t covered in paint or sourcing new pieces to refinish, we are spending time with our two wonderful daughters. 

By working together, we are able to take both of our strengths and create quality and beautiful furniture that we hope you love.
